FIRE PLACE SEANT

Fireproof sealant up to 1250 Degrees, provides a rock hard joint.

Uses: For repairing cracks and sealing joints in fire places, ovens chimneys. Adheres to metal , brick, stone and concrete. Not suitable for central heating systems or gas pipes.

Application: Cut off the plastic nipple at the screw thread. Screw on the plastic spoot and cut the point off diagonally, making an opening the same width as the joint, or slightly less. Use sealant sun to apply sealant. Ensure the joints are clean, dry and free from dust, rust, paint and grease. Degrease metal with PANKIE Stain Remover or acetone. Apply sealant into the joint slowly and evenly and smooth the surface with a moistened spatula. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours, then use only gentle heat until sealant has hardened. For sealing exhaust systems first apply a thin coat of sealant in which a piece of glass fibre cloth is embedded. Next apply a second coat. Leave to dry for at least 24 hours.

Important: Do not use at temperatures below 0. Remove stains immediately with water. Hardened sealant can only be removed mechanically. Close properly after use and store in a cool, frost-free place. Minimum storage life 24 months, less once opened.

Tip: Also suitable for temporarily sealing car and motorcycle exhaust systems.
